COVID-19 Lockdown Food Distribution Program for SCA Players, Their Families, and Teachers

(Launched in 2021)

In 2021, at the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, Soroti Cricket Academy partnered with Feed A Million Mouths International to mitigate the loss of livelihoods among its community. Through this partnership, the Academy provided critical support to its stakeholders during the second lockdown, distributing over 3 tonnes of NRG Xtra — a nutritious, high-fibre meal designed to keep individuals satisfied while delivering full nutritional benefits. Since then, more than 500 households, including cricketers, their families, and teachers involved in the Academy’s programs, have benefited from this initiative. This innovation has proven to be an effective solution in vulnerable communities where accessing food is difficult.
