Cricket Development Program
Our Cricket Development Program is designed to nurture young talent, promote sportsmanship, and build a strong foundation for cricket among children and youth in Soroti and the Teso Sub-region. Through structured coaching programs in primary and secondary schools, we introduce and develop core cricket skills while instilling values such as teamwork and discipline. To enhance competitive readiness, we organise local tournaments and support participation in national competitions. During school holidays, we run high-intensity cricket camps and performance sessions that focus on technical growth, fitness, and mental resilience. Our inclusive cricket clubs, catering to both girls and boys, compete in the Uganda National Cricket League, offering consistent platforms for skill advancement. Through the cricket exposure tours program, we facilitate tours within Uganda and to other countries, enabling players, coaches and management to take part in domestic league and friendly matches, attend advanced training sessions, and learn from diverse playing and coaching styles. The program also hosts visiting teams, offering them match opportunities and interaction with our academy.
Social and Economic Empowerment Program
Beyond the cricket pitch, Soroti Cricket Academy is deeply committed to uplifting communities through socio-economic empowerment initiatives that build resilience, support well-being, and enhance livelihoods, especially among young people and marginalised groups. Our key programs include social and community engagement activities like gender-based violence awareness and prevention, sexual and reproductive health support, psychosocial counselling, and life skills mentorship. We also support vocational training, entrepreneurship coaching, and financial literacy education for out-of-school girls and young women, fostering self-reliance and economic independence. Additionally, we promote access to quality education through scholarships, school fees and tuition support, provision of scholastic materials, and career guidance for our players.
